Grand Blanc
For WellBridge of Grand Blanc, our goal was to create the next and newest iteration of a modern skilled nursing facility and rehab center, custom tuned and oriented to its specific site with an adjacency to a major regional medical center.
Based on early discussions with the Client ownership group, this building was planned to be the flagship of the WellBridge brand. With a focus on natural light, clean and contemporary materials and details, and visual connections from one space to the next, the facility reflects the cutting edge of design and the leading edge of care and rehabilitation.
Comfort and Pleasure
Design ideals focused on guest comfort and pleasure as well as optimization for staffing needs and operational requirements. Design processes were strongly influenced by the analysis and implementation of trends in hotel, restaurant, and leisure environments.
Bistro
WB’s Bistro, featuring a full line of Starbucks products, is adjacent to a range of dining areas, seating areas, lounges, and activity spaces. The bistro is utilized by guests, visitors and staff as a ‘hangout’ area, and the interaction between staff and guest does not end during staff break time.
Hospitality
Material selections, lighting, ceiling heights, furniture, plantings, and spatial relationships express an atmosphere familiar to patrons of hotels, restaurants and resorts. It’s a twist on the idea of ‘care’, equating whenever possible to notions of care in the hospitality realm the imperatives of design, operation and staff training.
